Hendrick van der Geld is a seasoned club management professional whose leadership and industry involvement help shape exceptional member experiences, operational excellence, and professional development across the Ontario club sector.

Professional Background & Club Leadership

Hendrick serves as COO at The Club at North Halton, a well-regarded private golf and curling club in Georgetown, Ontario, known for its welcoming community, strong member engagement, and commitment to high-quality amenities and services.

In his role, Hendrick oversees all aspects of club operations, strategic planning, and member experience, focusing on leadership development, team collaboration, and organizational growth. As a Certified Club Manager (CCM) and Class “A” PGA professional, he brings both operational expertise and industry insight to create a club environment that is efficient, innovative, and member-focused.

Under his leadership, The Club at North Halton has continued to strengthen its team culture, enhance operational excellence, and implement strategic initiatives that elevate the overall member experience. Hendrick actively shares insights and updates on club operations, governance, and leadership through CMAC platforms and industry networks, demonstrating his commitment to both professional growth and the broader club management community.
 

CMAC Ontario Branch Involvement

Hendrick brings his passion for club leadership and professional development to the Club Management Association of Canada (CMAC) Ontario Branch, where he serves as Vice President on the Branch Board of Directors.

In this volunteer leadership role, he helps guide the branch’s strategic initiatives, promotes best practices in club governance and management, and supports networking and learning opportunities for members across Ontario. His involvement strengthens the CMAC community, fosters collaboration among club managers, and contributes to developing future leaders in the industry.

Beyond his work at The Club at North Halton and CMAC, Hendrick is recognized as a leader in club management, governance, and professional development. He holds the Certified Club Manager (CCM) designation, reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of leadership, operations, and member service.  Hendrick is also active with the PGA of Canada, serving on the PGA of Ontario Board as Vice President and on the National, Governance Committee.
