You don’t need to be a golfer to work at a golf club—but understanding golf operations can help you better serve members, collaborate with colleagues, and appreciate what drives one of the club’s most important amenities.
Designed for club professionals with little or no golf experience, this engaging 90-minute session will provide a high-level practical overview of the golf operation and its role in delivering exceptional member experience. Participants will gain a stronger understanding of how golf contributes to club culture, member satisfaction, and overall club success, while learning how various areas of the operation work together behind the scenes.
Attendees will leave with greater confidence in navigating golf-related conversations, a better appreciation for the challenges and opportunities within golf operations, and a stronger understanding of how their role contributes to the golfer experience. Whether you work in food and beverage, administration, membership, events, finance, human resources, or another department, this session will strengthen cross-departmental understanding and provide valuable insight into one of the club industry's most important areas.
The session will be led by Hendrick van der Geld, CCM, PGA, Chief Operating Officer, The Club at North Halton.
